Various levels of "modernisation" implemented

Post by willieloney1910 »

Surely the various stages of modernisation that our local reps have agreed will eventually come back to haunt us. Pegasus is all but complete in many area and walk sequence machines in some areas are ahead of schedule. As an LA in my unit we are sent help operationally for a couple of hours when the operation is struggling and expected to absorb the work that we have missed. It is not uncommon that this could be 2/3 times a week. I am aware that in many units this would not happen and I feel that this may eventually result in problems various stages of do's and dont's ) for union reps an a higher level.

Also Alex Salmond has asked for the SHADOW of privatisation to be removed from the talks.

Which that were true willie but in our area Pegasus 2 has not reared its ugly head and I have no doubt with the drop in volumes  it will be descending on most DOs next year - although I lay odds on favourite that when the volumes do rise again as I expect then it will be more like 5 years for peagsus 3 than 9 months for Pegasus 2.

Pegasus wasn't used in the revision in the office I work in. Allegedly, the maps weren't up to date...

I suspect the reality is that it that Pegasus came out with the wrong answers - ie the walks were big enough already! So instead, our revision was carried out by one of the reserves who has done most walks in the unit colouring in a printed map! Oddly enough, some walks are are easier than before, while others have been turned into 4.5 hour monsters.

Total and utter shambles.
