Greetings! Well done for setting up this site. Good to hear the views of colleagues from other parts of the country.
I regretted the username as soon as I saw it 'in print' - seems a bit pompous but I couldn't change it apparently.
Anyway I've worked in Royal Mail for 27 years in Central London, in processing and distribution - can't get up early enough to do deliveries. Have seen things go steadily downhill, particularly since 'the Way Forward'. Not far from retirement but now they want to make our pension worse as well - as soon as I'm within sight of the finishing line they want to move the goalposts, to mix my metaphors. Good ballot result. Well done everyone - let's stop the Gruesome Twosome in their tracks.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The Processing Industry was dreadful when I started , dreadful managers, some dreadful staff, poor culture etc, we've learned nothing from the Sawyer Report, however those two clowns have just made a bad industry worse with thier top down 70's command and control style. The irony is the 33%?? below average managers prosper as long as everything ticks Allan's boxes , it's a dumb mgt culture that's easy to play.
