....s'funny but not too long back I was thinking that the CWU could do with a forum and then I stumble across this place. I suppose I should have looked harder before now!
Anyhow, I'm a delivery postie from the valleys in South Wales though I started with Royal Mail in Bolton (delivering to Farnworth to be exact)...and yes, I do like Pokemon!!! Sad, but true... :roll:
I hope to enjoy the company here when I get the chance (married, two kids....not much time, y'know!). Also, I'm not sure how many other folk here from smaller offices are in the same boat as us in lacking a Union rep so I hope this site will provide some useful information. It's always nice to know what's going on in other offices.
Other interests will probably become apparent as time goes by.... :Very Happy

Hi Pokemon,

Im barry, im not from a small delivery office, in fact Im not even from deliveries LOL,
but if ya need any help or advise Im sure there are plenty of guys on here that will assist
Most comments and replys ive read are from delivery staff

Have a good look around the site, ive found it a bit difficult to navigate, but it kicks in after an hour or so
some of the chat is sound

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Thanks all. I was a rep briefly but due to personal circumstances could not give it the time that was necessary. I hope one day that I may take up the role again but as yet it's still impossible. What saddens me more is that there are members in our office who are more vocal than myself and have the time to spare but have no interest in it. I know it to be a thankless job mind you, and a thick skin is needed. In a way, I can't blame them but every once in a while they'll bemoan the lack of a rep and I just think, 'Why don't you give it a shot?'.
Still, I don't mean to run my co-workers down! Lol! Generally a great bunch.... :wink:
