How do I put this. The best answer is probably.

Sometimes they do the checks and then select from those that pass. Those that do not get offered a position usually go onto a waiting list, and the vast majority of those are offered a position later.

So as I say you are getting closer, and if the checks go ok you should get a job eventually, but maybe not straight away. The reason RM take this approach is that the turnover of new starters is quite high so they like to have a pool of candidates to select from.

I have been at this stage for nearly 4 weeks now, is there a contact number I can phone to at least know if I have the job or not?? I have an offer of a job from another company...
