Good Moaning (sorry, morning), I'm a Rep from The Harrow & District Branch, who along with my trusty sidekick drb, try with all our best endeavours to slow every process of change we can.
Our best effort so far was to implement a Collections Revision on the 15th January 2007 that should have been in place on the 4th July 2005!!!!
We are about to start digging the trenches for the latest sortie from Royal Mail which is Delivery Best Practise & Delivery Re-engineering. THE BATTLE LINES HAVE BEEN DRAWN!

As my learned friend has mentioned, yes they are back for more!!
As Snatch has mentioned,it took the best part of 18 months for them to reach an agreement for 80 hours.
However because we got to stage 3 of the disagreement, they ended up putting loads of SA
in our office.Again although the 80 hours were taken fron distribution we put the SA in delivery,s.
and back in distribution.
As i,ve mentioned on another thread our Distribution is still based in the delivery office and duties
rotate with delivery,s.It called cross functionalisation. If the drivers go out,so do the walkers
and vice versa. Its something that all offices should be adopting really..........

PS: What a brilliant,(and well overdue), site

I (snatch) and He (drb) are the keepers of truth, justice and the American Way! (Mmm actually disregard that Yank bit.)
I'm the Office Rep for deliveries and Distribution and He is my Deputy, and the meeting of our two minds has created an almighty surge in activity regarding ways of working and how to deal with p***ks in our office.

Sometimes it,d like a "life" back!
However it is somethings that are worth caring about. We,d like everyone to be a professional
WELL PAID workforce that can compete in todays liberal market. That same old stick that we get
beaten with at work time learning about our competitors is only half true.
Ask them why the Single delivery agreement states "job & finish".Ask them again if this is true or not.
How can we compete with competitors when managers go home early on a Saturday before the staff that THEY are responsible for. What if any posties/drivers have an accident?
Ask your manager how much bonus he got for the last efficiency deal?
Ask your DOM how much he/she will get for their low sick level?
Ask your DOM why a company that Royal Mail invested in Sweden in 1999 for millions
was than sold to a swedish entrepraneur for £1 because it was a loss maker.
Ask why our Chairman,(Leighton), is a director on SKY TV when they themselves
are delivered by TNT,which is surely a conflict of interest.
Ask them why you think the shares issue would pitch worker against worker and that the
goverment agrees because WE fund this goverment.
Tell them that SA is a different name for part time
Ask them that why the sequencing machines cannot sort A4 mail!
