Sign for a permanent walk

Evening All,
Just a question/advice wanted.
A permanent walk has become available in our DO and apparently I have to put in writing to the union rep that I would like to be considered. Admittedly it’s doubtful I’ll even be considered as a newbie, but that being said, sure there’s no harm in trying.

Any Idea what I should put in writing is it as simple as I want to be considered? Should it be in a sealed envelope? I have no clue…

Then you slip in a fiver. tenner, twentier (copyright Ms Nam) or higher depending on how desperate you are for the duty.(just joking)

The duty should be advertised. Speak to the manager and ask when that is happening and how to put your name down.
