Hi Guys,
Ive just come away from the last members meeting today on the Mail Centre Car park prior to the ballot papers arriving tommorow morning, the meetings were well attended and the feedback very very posotive, I know most of you on here are Deliveries but let me remind you that the Processing members are up for it. I have one more meeting with the members tommorrow morning 05.30 prior to the early shift starting and we are very confident of a good turn out and a massive yes vote.
Leightons messages to the members has them baying for his blood, have any of you seen his DVD were he says "he aint gonna giv em any bullshit" That went down great with the lads and lasses.
All you activists out there come on one last push to get tham ballot papers in

Good call gentlemen,nice one.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Heard a wisper that Leighton may have an ace up his sleeve. He may declare that he withdraws all the strings to the pay deal. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS. We must still vote for the union as, if we fall for his tactics and do not vote for a strike, he will soon go back on his word and bring the cuts in. BEWARE - THERE ARE DIRTY DEEDS AFOOT.
Whatever Leighton says, he is not to be trusted. Read between the lines. VOTE TO BACK THE STRIKE.

work-to-rule always used to screw up the system and scare Royal Mail. A series of 1-day strikes doesn't.
Why isn't the Union balloting for work to rule and enforcing it?
Most people in my office go on about principles for a strike but won't work to rule instead as they want to get home early.
Then again, in this heat, who blames us?!

Yeah I just heard this story too, but I'm assured by the area rep that it is (as usual) the smoke and mirrors routine. What Leighton really means is you're voting just for the 2.5% because he's bringing the rest of the bits in anyway, whether we like it or not.
Come on everyone, grow a backbone, stand up for what's right and prove to Crozier and Leighton that we wont be bullied

what's the point of worrying about things like that if the job itself is so shite that none of us want to work here anymore anyway. Look after our jobs, keep the staff motivated and happy, give the customers the service they want and Royal Mail will survive.
DON'T BE FOOLED BY LEIGHTONS SPIN. . . . DECIDE FOR YOURSELF AND VOTE
