POST OFFICE CLOSURES:YOUR THOUGHTS.
See Teebs list in the thread above!!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I scrolled through all those POs and could not help thinking what the hell is going on? "The People's Post Office" should become "The People's Post Office if we let you have one." This isn't just the closure of post offices, but the closure of communities and the end of a British Institution. To those who proposed all this, they probably thought it was as easy as putting a hot knife through butter. But the knife has went through the heart of the Country.
The fact that our Government sits by, and watches it all is akin to someone watching a car crash, and standing by while those inside die. Of course, a few MPs are up in arms at this, but they were nowhere to be seen when all this was first announced.
"First we kick up the dust, then complain that we cannot see."
Sadly, the "people's post office" does not actually belong to the people anymore, but heartless businessmen.

These are just another indication of the business plan. RM/Post Office are no longer a national public service, but are a business and as such are subject to the usual business rules. If they can make the same amount of profit with 1 office than they can with 100 then 99 will close. The government is to blame. We are owned by the state and run for the state (well, until now) and it is the governments agenda that we are privatised. This Tory government is only following the proven methods of pre-privatisation used by the Thatcher government, and as we have seen, she is Gordon Brown's hero. The fact that communities are dying is irrelevant to them, as has been said on other threads, they are only interested in £'s. Big business rules and the little man can just get to ****.

i really love the CONSULTATION, when have RM ever listened?
Had the guy on local TV that is handling it in our area, was asked if they appeal and get a PO closure stopped, what happens do you simply close others? this guy goes yes! so you can have your victory but we have a quota to shut and were going to do it, makes a mockery of the consultation and RMs formula for closures
but as we all have dealt with RM management and there decisions [pensions consultations] nobody should be surprised only the people that haven't had to deal with the incompetent buggers
when are they going to shut them in parliament then? 3 in a 100m radius i believe
