Did anyone else receive their office posters in the usual triangular carton thingy this week ? It's 65 cm long, 2nd class postage paid, and should have been returned to pol by rm as an oversized item. I only noticed it today, and will be sending it to the sorting office tomorrow and asking them to return it to pol (or logistics, whatever) as these should now be sent parcelforce, unless someone at POL pushes down the flaps at each end to make it barely conform with new rules.
Sometimes, I just love playing by the rules set out by pol and rm. Please, everyone, do the same, get these oversized items back to the sender, why should we cover up for their stupidity (they don't cover ours, after all, lol).

POL and RM are all for rules, but they don't apply them to themselves.cdpete2004 wrote:Did anyone else receive their office posters in the usual triangular carton thingy this week ? Hope everybody follows you're example.

Postage Account Mail users have their own size regulations, and are not effected by the new size regulations that apply to people who post mail over our counters.
Along with the low entry point for an account, 1000 items a year, this is all part of the process to nick more of the small volume mail posters away from the PO Network.

Yes and no. The small parcels and medium parcels formats don't apply to PPI customers (other than those using the VAT-exempt BPL and BPR services). PPI customers still have the letter/large letter/packet split as before.
But now that standard parcels have been scrapped, the maximum sizes for inland stamped, meter and PPI mail are all the same. 610x460x460mm for box shaped items and, for cylindrical items, maximum length 900mm and length + twice diameter maximum 1040mm. Stamped and meter customers could previously access standard parcels (which had different size limits) whereas PPI customers never could
