IS THIS HARRASSMENT

We have a manager working with us now in CIT who was originally from Royal Mail. Our depot have a local agreement which is 15 minutes being allowed for lateness before you have to sign the late book. This manager has been told this but thinks that Royal Mail rules cover CIT depots and the 15 minute agreement does not stand. Although none of our workers abuse our local agreement this manager now uses a most annoying tactic. He checks what time you sign on at and if you have not signed on by your starting time, he waits a few minutes then goes through to the transfer unit where we come through to enter the building and hangs about there pretending to be looking for something or going into the control room. When you come in, he makes some snide remarks about what made you late or that you are holding back team mates waiting to go into pens to get their vans loaded. I have experienced this twice in the last 2 months, both being 4 minutes late. I have informed my union rep about this and he told me he would have a quiet word with him as this tactic was not going down well with workers. Can anyone inform me, is this a form of harrassment. He is really getting on my t . .s with his actions.

if you have a local agreement like you say you have then you have nothing to wory about, I would either ignore what he says or being me I would reply with either a witty or snide remark just to P**s the bloke off.

Seeing has he came from RM im guessing a DOM just ignore him, he will be clueless, useless waste of space. Personally i would come in late every day just to annoy him.

Are you in a cash centre or a depot? If your in a cash centre, he should not be anywhere near the control room. As long as you are no longer than 15 mins late you have nothing to worry about WARDY. We have one like that at our place!
