Have Your Say

Post by goggins69 »

Although I feel these are a total waste of time, I enjoy filling them in. I thought they were due in June. Are we going to get them soon?

Don't fill them in, they do nothing about them so it's a pointless exercise................and they get more upset when you don't fill them in anyway :nana

Quite agree, one of life's more pleasurable experiences, second only to watching paint dry...

Totally agree.
Don't know if it was just an urban myth, but when they first came out we were told that the reason the were introduced was that they were a requirement for POL getting an 'Investors in People' mark. If so, that would make sense of the fact that nothing ever gets done about the comments/suggestions.
In my experience, if you make any comments that the manager doesn't like you just set yourself up as a target. Although they're supposed to be annonymous, if you work in a small office it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out who's written what......

HYS is great, especially the comments.

Management hate HYS. Why do you think we haven't been allowed to have our say this year?

Our last HYS had hardly any swearing, just point after point exposing the weakness of 'command and control' management.

If we are going to be mutualised, we must control the new organisation(s).

POL should be run by the people who do the real work. The Network Subsidy should be paid for by the British public as a whole through the tax system. POL workers should not be required to take pay cuts so that the government can reduce the Network Subsidy. Any profits made should be used to raise the wages of the lowest paid staff in POL.

Don't let POL management get richer from mutualisation while we get poorer.

Stop moaning and start fighting.
