Post by silly suffolk »

when we stopped getting paid in cash we all went into girobank and life went on. then girobank was swallowed up by alliance + leicster but i still got me cash from good old post office counters. now santander has eaten a/l, im told i can't use my debit card in p o's no more. another link with the past gone, and another stab in the back for the post office. bastards.

Just change to a PO friendly bank, such as Lloyds (we own it now) and make sure you write and tell the MD of Santander why you have left (in spanish)

Ex A&L/ Girobank Santander account holders can still draw cash and pay in at our counters. However, ex Abbey or B&Bingley Santander (BSCH) account holders cannot. Presumably the same will be true for the RBS branches transferring to BSCH although maybe it will be down to timing and when RBS customers can use our counters (thought to be September). Not surprisingly BSCH staff cannot answer these questions correctly.
