next weeks WTL
Just heard there's a big meeting during next weeks WTL. All to attend even if it's day off, paying overtime and everything! Anyone know what's going on?....

News to me. And at this short notice they would do well to get one extra in.
Keep us posted.

Apparently it was something to do with a BM meeting yesterday, the instruction has come from Paula Venables (sorry, don't know the correct spelling of her name). Anyway, shouldn't minimum attendance of 3 hours be paid if not due to work?

It could be that branches will be meeting the Internet rates for bcd orders over £1K.

Re: next weeks WTL
It's a new PLAN. Some offices have already received the posters, leaflets etc. Naughty them have jumped the gun and had a good look already. 'Tis nowt to worry about.
Remember about 8 years ago when we had that big game board delivered to us over a period of 3 weeks? About the customer experience.

Its like the lib-dems getting battered in the local elections, the POST-OFFICE just don't get it the customer experience how
many charters do we have to go through, mission and vision comes to mind remember that disaster. The best customer experience is to have as many counters open as possible and serve the queue quickly and efficiently as possible and not have people standing outside harassing them and the ABM sitting on your shoulder watching the staff it looks unprofessional
and irritates the queue when they see staff doing nothing, come on POL wake up before you send all the customers to the bank or cash machine and the PO will no longer exist.

Andy Furey on Facebook...
The plan is for staff to be briefed on Tuesday at the WTL.
Suffice to say the news from the event is that POL wish it's employees to be "proud" of the company which in turn will mean that the customers receive better service.
At this stage I am unable to divulge any further details I am though keen to hear following Tuesday's WTL what the members have to say about this latest initiative from POL.
My Area Representatives will be out in the Crowns on Tuesday morning and once I have received feedback we will be doing a communications to our membership.
Best wishes
Andy

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
