When is a Queue not a Queue ?

With the introduction of the new take a number and wait to be called system there by definition ( see below) is no longer a Queue.

For those offices without this system its the same as a supermarket deli counter, more cheese vicar!!

to form in a line while waiting (often fol. by up).


Please could someone come up with a word or title that could replace "Post Office Queues" to describe the mass of lost souls with eyes glazed over, gradually losing the will to live longing for their number to be called, then after 40 to 50 minutes of waiting are badgered by the PO or whatever were called now "Would you be interested in a life insurance quote"

chaos
–noun
1. a state of utter confusion or disorder; a total lack of organization or order.
2. any confused, disorderly mass.

riot
–noun
1. a noisy public disorder caused by a group or crowd of persons.
2. wild disorder or confusion.
3. something hilariously funny.
