Recorded Delivery

Post by squeaky »

Hi again to all
After being kicked out of POL (redundant!) I have found a new job - good one too!
I just hope RML don't cock it up for me
We have to post cheques & Postal Orders and the firm wants them recorded, 1st week 1 out of 5 went missing,
2nd week 2 out of 5 went missing and this week 4 out of 5 went missing - We have the posting book and numbers
to prove postman collected them but I am feeling paranoid cos I wrote the letters! Is it really normal for RML to lose
4 letters to the same address in 8 days? All RML will say is put in a claim in 15 working days - I suppose with the Postal
Order receipt and proof of recorded that the firm will eventually get a refund but will RML have got me sacked by then
My new boss says that the website, forms etc say proof of receipt, next day delivery etc - how can I tell them its all
bollox - they will only do SD if its money or really short of time :Boo hoo!

Any sensible ideas to what is happening (apart from someone in RML nicking them)?

You say 'missing'.
Might they be delayed rather than lost ?

recorded is a poor service, however i think your items are not missing.
its the tracking and update of the track/sigs on the website thats the biggest failure

I hope so - cos 8 in 10 days cannot be traced to the same address - all at the same delivery office - so what are
they not doing that other delivery offices do ? :mad :confused

It looks like the problem is with the recipient more than the delivery office (although it could be one postie who doesn't follow procedure).

it shouldnt matter what the recipient says
track & trace should show it as delivered
