Consultation On Changes To Post Office Network - Post Office Ltd commences consultation on Wilkin branch in the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands area
11/11/2008

Post Office Ltd recently confirmed decisions reached following local public consultation into its Herefordshire Worcestershire and the West Midlands area plan. As a result of the feedback received, Post Office Ltd amended its original proposal and decided not to proceed with the closure of The Butts branch.

In order to ensure that the planned future network can be supported by the available funding from Government and meets the criteria it has set, including the requirement that no part of the UK is advantaged or disadvantaged relative to other areas, Post Office Ltd is now proposing the permanent closure of Wilkin branch in Brownhills. A six week public consultation on this new proposal begins today (11 November 2008) and will conclude on 22 December.

In proposing this branch for closure, Post Office Ltd has taken into account that customers would be able to access Post Office® services from nearby branches.

Details of the area plan proposal and a booklet containing full details of the decisions relating to the changes to the network in the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands area are available on the Post Office Ltd website www.postoffice.co.uk/networkchange or by contacting the address below.

Any changes to the network that are made under the programme are implemented in accordance with a code of practice that has been agreed with consumer body Postwatch.

During local public consultation Post Office customers and their representatives are invited to express their views by writing to Mark Partington, Network Development Manager C/o National Consultation Team, FREEPOST CONSULTATION TEAM, by emailing : consultation@postoffice.co.uk or by calling the Post Office Ltd Customer Helpline on: 08457 22 33 44.

Cornwall Area Plan - Public consultation commences on new proposal for St Clether
11/11/2008

Post Office Ltd today (11 November) launched a six-week consultation on the proposed outreach service for the village of St Clether.
