Can't help you then I'm afraid... stupid posts is all I got. :cry
Irritating, annoying, self-centred and totally obnoxious... some of my best traits I'll have you know.
And I won't stand for anyone blaming the devil... he was just misunderstood is all... :evil/mad

Ah funnily enough thats RM Letters idea of a perfect member of staff. Mind you to keep their heads down a lot of posties

1. Come in up to 2 hours early.
2. Do not take breaks.
3. Take work home.
4. Do not claim overtime when entitled.
5. Ignore Health and safety guidelines.
6. Carry Overweight bags.
7. Use their own private cars with no recompense.

In my time in the forces and reinforced working for RMG, I learnt that Keeping Your Head down is fine, as long as you understand the crap is still going to hit you at some point.

Anyway, according to our Financial Specialist today, the new Commission Scheme will make him ‘£2000 a year worse off’. I would be interested to hear insult free views on this statement.

INSULT FREE!!?? I ask you!! Well I'll do me best...
Our FS said in a nutshell that if you are doing your 11 sales a week then you will be better off.
If not, then because the £1000 automatic payment has stopped, then you wont.

I think.

Oh, and they will only get half of the sales incentive scheme payout.

Did you go FinancialSpecialist? Do you concur?

I've edited this post about half a dozen times as the FS tells me snippets I add to it on me tea breaks
Our FS said that the clear message from Thursdays conference was that there will be sackings if they did not keep to expected sales levels.
This goes for counter staff too... don't referr enough then off you f**k.

This all fits in with the plan for closures... What better way to save on VR payments than to sack both FS and counter to the tune of.. say 20% reduction.
Hell of a lot more money saved right there.

We are f****d. Seems some sooner than others, is all.

Difficult to see how you could sack on 'referrals' - how are they defined? A request for information? A leaflet? Or a gem I once heard, 'a quality referral'?
A colleague of mine was recently praised for getting a lot of referrals, but when I asked the Financial Specialist how many of these resulted in actual sales, I was met with a blank awkward silence.

All very easy. I have a few friends on Facebook group 'post office people' that have been threatened one way or the other. They don't need anything solid, proof is not the key. Just a little bit of pressure applied to the right people and they leave.

Someone who was 25 years in walked away from a bad mystery shopper result, simply because there is no defence for what one person says about you on a report.

The CWU are complicit in this per the 'pay dispute' backhander.

This next few months will reveal all. Applied pressure to one or two people per office, not necessarily the worst sellers or whatever. Just the meek and the weak, if one or even two leave per office, that's 400 staff, right there.

Watch your backs.

Yes, you have a point there. I too had a very good friend and colleague leave earlier in the year due to ‘pressure’. However it does not bother me or most of the people I work with, we know our way around, and by the way, I do not mean by bullying.

As for the CWU, it does puzzle me that Area Representatives are deluged by complaints about ‘Sales Pressure’, but nothing seems to be done…

I occasionally look at the Facebook site, but it’s not to my taste, I suppose I’m just an ‘old crony’ preparing for my time ‘sitting round the TV in the old folk's home’.

This is where POL will attack, take the 'love' away and they will walk. Even those sticking it out for VR, we've had around 8 leave over the past two years for no other reason than the 'pressure's. None have been replaced.

There is nothing in the COSA about getting referrals, so as long as you have quality conversations the management can't do
anything, if the customer is interested they can go over to the FS but alot of customers don't want to because they don't know them well enough. You don't have individual referrals either but I have seen e-mails contradicting that trying to put pressure on BMs to then pass onto us, you have to stand tall and be counted and stick together managers only bully the weak staff. I can't see the FS getting 11 sales a week so I hope they have a good reserve team, yet again alot of scaremongering by managers going to meeting and the staff knowing nothing again its like deja vu.

Yes, I agree K1, but the salient point is "the weak staff".

Push a little in the right places and they will not fight, they will not stand tall, they don't like to make ripples in the water, they will not share with everyone what is being said to them, simply put... they will LEAVE. :arrrghhh
