Another day to feel proud of the post-office, the BM was at a meeting all day, the ABM is on holiday for 4 weeks yes thats
a month on annual leave at one of the busiest times of the year don't even ask how he got that much leave.We had the FS in branch but he hasn't been in long. The ABM is on leave for a month so thats about £1400 in wages for him and nobody covers him when he is on leave, BM not in branch all day and the poor FS outside on the public side on his own can it get any better i hear you say.
Oh yes queue out the door and guess what? we only run out of money not the first time may i add, so little OAPs wanting their pension and we have got no money what a great company we work for, we have got an atm but the poor FS had to show the little old dears how to use it.We got a load of abuse and hassle all day long whilst the BM is in a meeting having
choccy biscuits and loads of cups of coffee doing role play probably with another dead head manager.
Thats why the business is in a mess nobody listens to the counter staff, "we need more money in our rem" we say BM replies
cash management won't let me". We will probably all get taken off for coaching tomorrow about life insurance, he better not wind me up about conversations i will tell him i had a conversation with every customer yesterday which consisted of " i can't
serve you i have got no money thanks for waiting".

I don't think this will happen in our office, (the cash situation that is), as we have a lot of companies around us paying in every day.

We are not allowed to close billy because we are a crown, we have to stay open and offer a limited service apparently thats what the helpline tell us to do.Its very very limited if you have no money in a benefits office.

Yes thats right apparently the line is you should stay open in case someone comes in to pay money in and suddenly you can start paying money out again. A nice theory meantime you and your colleagues are getting the a$*e moaned off you for turning customers away...

We are a Crown also, high benefits footfall. I never knew that about no shutting. Oh well.

Our ATM ran out for a short time, which attracted a "please explain" email. As i pointed out to the boss, THEY tell US how much to put in it, so why are they asking US? He almost had the guts to send my reply!
