Ha, Kathleen1, I really wouldn't waste any time thinking how you might spend your VR money - it won't go very far!

I too had a peek into an inviting looking red box that was lying around in the back office yesterday. Those expecting anything spectacular are going to be rather disappointed. As billyhayes says it is similar to the ‘Route Map’ thing we did a few years back – the only thing I remember from that is the Saturday afternoon Overtime and the Fish and Chips at lunchtime.billyhayes wrote:It's a new PLAN. Some offices have already received the posters, leaflets etc. Naughty them have jumped the gun and had a good look already. 'Tis nowt to worry about.
Remember about 8 years ago when we had that big game board delivered to us over a period of 3 weeks? About the customer experience.![]()

one thing I do know that came out of the branch mamagers meeting last week that they are going to start trialing or they have in some offices i am not quite sure is that only appriopriate customers will be sold to and not every customer like we have to do at the moment.

Can't see it myself.claire1.9 wrote:one thing I do know that came out of the branch mamagers meeting last week that they are going to start trialing or they have in some offices i am not quite sure is that only appriopriate customers will be sold to and not every customer like we have to do at the moment.
It's supposed to be 'appropriate selling' ALREADY.
The sales code of conduct still stands does it not?
But this got bastardized as soon as some prick decided to call it 'focus days'.
What's that... It's where we bash every single bloody customer about that particular product ad infinitum.. FFS!
I would love to see this, I really would. I just can't believe POL have got it in them to do it.
This move would prove all along that the staff called it right 8 years ago and they got it wrong. Badly. Again.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

What would ABM's and BM's do then instead of standing behind us and intimidating us they would have to do some real work like manage the office LOL

Re: next weeks WTL
Still haven't seen the wtl video, had one extra staff today so me and another clerk asked if we could watch it because of all the hype the BM said "no" we asked "why"? this was after he had time to coach every member of staff on sales, he said "the managers weren't too impressed with it because it had no direction" (whatever) isn't it for me to decide. When he took me out for coaching he was whingeing because he had an e-mail off the area manager because of our sales figures and if they didn't improve he would be getting interviewed on the reason why.I didn't care they don't mind picking up £30K a year but they cannot cope with pressure, he sort of suggested in his own pathetic way if we didn't get sales i might not have a job soon, i am shaking in my boots with fear or should it be him can't think of another job he could do earning 30k a year sitting/standing behind staff all day, with his redundancy money he could buy a backbone.

He'll be 'moved' well before you lose your job girl. That's the FIRST thing that will happen if your sales don't improve.kathleen1 wrote:...he sort of suggested in his own pathetic way if we didn't get sales i might not have a job soon...
He knows that.
Maybe you should tell him that YOU know that.

I thought yesterday was one of the most depressing days I have had in the post office in 14 years of service. Enjoy the video!

I can honestly say everyday with the sales module in place is depressing in our office, we just look at the clock all day wishinggoggins69 wrote:I thought yesterday was one of the most depressing days I have had in the post office in 14 years of service. Enjoy the video!
our lives away, we are all made up when its the BMs lunch hour or day off so we get a bit of peace (not much to ask). Still
haven't watched the video yet or had any staff training nothing new there.

Still haven't seen the video, but the BM stood behind me for about 1 hour today asked all my card account customers if they
wanted a life insurance quote they all declined my special offer of the day, never mind i'll ask them all again next week.
