axeman"]x= being the amout who require services at r.m counters y= being the offices that have or are going to close z= those who now have to go to another office to carry out the business that they would do at the local branch before closure does that make sence to you

I was never very good at algebra, but what I think Mr axeman is trying to say is that staffing levels in the whole network have been reduced because offices have been closed, therefore offices that are open then have bigger queues because there are loads of customers who want serving but can't go where they would normally.Tman wrote:"axeman"]x= being the amout who require services at r.m counters y= being the offices that have or are going to close z= those who now have to go to another office to carry out the business that they would do at the local branch before closure does that make sence to you

TMan and Axeman if you cant both have a normal debate without snide comments about each other please use the "Foe" feature of this board and ignore each others posts. Frankly you keep hijacking threads and its getting boring.

4 days into the extended hours period - how is it going?
We are open for an extra hour at our office, and we have done about 80 transactions in that hour. I don't think it is even 80 customers because so many do multiple transactions. Over 90% of those transactions are postage based, and no post will leave the office until the next day, a fact that most of our customers are unaware of when they walk in, so has it been worth it?

Has the extended opening hours been advertised? TBH this is the 1st I've heard of it
I went in the Crown Office the other day and saw nothing about the opening hours, however I did notice a bloke behind the counter who was the spitting image of :cfo albeit a younger version
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

No specific times but every house should have got Red Envelopes telling them what extra plans were being put in place for Christmas.
