Hero Royal Mail postie saves the day with hilariously helpful note

The Royal Mail has now started offering advice on what is the best colour to paint your front door.

Or at least one 'postie' has, much to amusement of their bosses - and hundreds of people on social media.

In a Facebook Post that is rapidly going viral - having been liked more 800 times in just 17 minutes - the Royal Mail says: "When you are struggling to choose a colour for your front door... your local postie will help you out!"

Attached to the post are two photos - one showing black door daubed with a number of colour samples, while the other is of a helpful note left by the postie.

"Second green up from the bottom of the door looks best," opines the Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen of postal workers.



Many people commenting on the FB post agreed with postie's choice, with one saying: "The posties see hundred and thousand of doors, they know best."
