Scandalous! Does the phrase 'due for filing' mean they have until then to release them or be fined or or does it mean RM have actually informed them that they intend to release them in january 08?

It should have read "Royal Mail Accounts to be Revealed - eventually"

That gives them 4 months to try and win this fight without the public knowing they can afford a decent pay rise.
It's outrageous! Scandalous! Opprobrious! (looked that last one up  )

From TheFreeDictionary
"an opprobrious monument to human greed"; "a shameful display of cowardice"
Seems to fit nicely

They cooked the books when they arrived to make themselves look good and when CWU threatened to publish the true figures they got threatened with court action, unions get bashed by rules and regulations since that b**ch Thatcher was in power and our working class heros Labour dont seem to want to change them, its one rule for us and another rule for them...UNITY IS STRENGTH.

Today's Word - oppro.....thingy

How come no one is asking why the figures aren't ready to publish? They have audited the figures for the final quarters bonus which amounted to 33p - maybe they are afraid of the direct comparison of their bonuses and salaries to ours!

I think what it actually means is that January 08, is the last month they've got to file their accounts with Companies House. So basically they don't have to announce this years profits till at least next February. so they've actually ot months to cook the books.

I have written to RM and have asked for the annual report and accounts under the freedom of information act 2000. They will now under law, have 20 days to respond.

I will keep you posted (no pun intended).

How about you post a copy of your email and then every postie could send this email to them, i.e. AL, AC, doms, managers, members of the press, MP's. If enough people bombard enough people something has to happen.
