CWU demonstration in Bristol - 31st July 07

Today the Bristol & District Branch organised a mass demonstration through the centre of Bristol. The demonstartion was against Royal Mail's and Post Office counters current attacks on members terms and conditions. Appproximately 500 people took part in the march which was given wide media coverage.

Come on Dumb and Dumber.You know you our losing the battle. This is just Brizel. What about the rest of UK? Let us see the results for last year? Where you say you cannot afford any more money but can afford to give yourself and Crozzy and DOMs big bonuses? Sod of to BHS or Canada and lets have some one in charge who isn't after a bigger ego? Crozzy you made a right mess of FA now you our doing it to the peoples Royal Mail. Yes you got Â£370,000 bonus this year. But if i remeber rightly you got Â£3 million bonus when we got Â£1,000 three years ago.

Me and My mate turned up for the rally in Bristol today. What a great turnout and atmostphere!! Took our placards, blew our whistles, and picked up a few flags for the picket line Thursday!!!! Cornishrep and Wakkono, you would have been made very welcome in 'Bristle'. Kevin Slocombe and Dave Wilshire's speeches were truly magnificent! In fact all the speeches were, but I remember DW and KS from the '96 industrial action, and they still have the same commitment.

We had a 100% walkout from the Galleries Branch Office ( our 6th time out!! ) and we joined in with the rally - really proud to stand with our colleagues in our fight for our future, pay and conditions - stay strong, we will win through!!!
