Business are being informed of changes to Royal Mail Ts & Cs which include two new surcharges relating to business collections.

New Royal Mail business collection surcharges
From the 7th of April 2025, Royal Mail will be introducing two new surcharges relating to business collections undertaken by a dedicated heavy goods vehicle or medium goods vehicle.

A collection cancellation surcharge which will apply if you turn away a scheduled collection without giving due notice
An under-utilisation surcharge which will apply if you use less than 50% of the volume Royal Mail were scheduled to collect

Windsor Framework
From the 31st of March 2025, Royal Mail will make changes to our terms and conditions to comply with new UK Government requirements, as part of the Windsor Framework agreement with the EU, to send goods from Great Britain (GB) to Northern Ireland (NI).

These changes will address new legal requirements on providing data in advance of shipping, responsibility/liability for provision of the data and compliance, and information on what happens where you/your items may be non-compliant with the Windsor Framework requirements or if an item is investigated by UK Government authorities.

Use of mail consumables
From the 7th of April 2025, Royal Mail will update the terms and conditions which apply to the ordering and use of mail consumables to clarify that certain mail consumables, such as thermal labels, must only be used for items sent using specific products including Royal Mail Tracked and Special Delivery Guaranteed.

Changes to delivery speed exclusions for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am
From 4 April 2025, Royal Mail will be updating the delivery speed exclusions in their terms and conditions for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am to include new postcodes. The only product impacted is Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am.

Changes to next day delivery speed standards to Guernsey (GY)
From the 4th of April 2025, Royal Mail will be updating the delivery speed exclusions in their terms and conditions for Parcel and Letter services to include GY postcodes. The products impacted by this change are:
Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed®
Royal Mail 24
First Class (Account Mail)
Advertising Mai
Business Mail
Publishing Mail
Subscription Mail
This means Special Delivery Guaranteed® will no longer be a next day guaranteed service to GY postcodes.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
