Post workers must run in to close calls with animals all the time on their daily rounds - guard dogs, evil cats and maybe even a rogue rodent every now and then. But in London, one particular postman was stunned by his latest encounter.

A recent video on TikTok has gone viral after a London postman was confronted by a whole chicken hanging by a hook outside someone's front door. With Londoners not receiving frequent post in recent times, one resident appears to have been caught off guard.

The postman has uploaded several clips to their social media - highlighting all kinds of delivery worker woes. But the latest clip may have broken the internet, and people can't believe what has happened.

User Postman @mobow25 on TikTok uploaded the video and captioned it: "A days work in London." Revealing to his followers what his day looked like, the delivery man was seen opening a door to let him into an apartment block.

The video showed him entering a fairly standard looking apartment block only to reveal a whole uncooked chicken staring him in the face has he turned the corner. Voicing over the clip he said: "So this is a days work as a postman in London, this is a key that gets me into most of the flats, and I was delivering in here when I saw a dead chicken on a hook."

He added: "It completely threw me off, so I didn't make any more videos." The video has shocked the world of TikTok, and has racked up just under 1million views in less than a day. The clip has been liked over 90,000 times and hundreds have taken to the comments.

One read: "Okay why is there a dead chicken on a hook." Another follower commented: "Don't beat yourself up man, it threw me off too." While someone else commented: "dead chicken on a hook omg." Another follower added: "that's London for you."

However, some other foodie lovers realised what the meat could be. One user wrote: "They making Peking duck, they hang it so it gets the crunch when they cook it." Another wrote: That looks like duck lad, it'll be delicious when it's done."

Sounds like Amazon, always keen to leave parcels anywhere - probably alive and delivered to wrong address. So long as they took a photo and scanned its barcode.
