Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee
The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee’s questioning of Royal Mail’s Simon Thompson, Keith Williams, and Ricky McAulay on Wednesday 22 February will be livestreamed on parliamentlive.tv.
Mr Thompson was recalled by the Committee after large amounts of evidence were submitted by Royal Mail workers and customers questioning the accuracy of his statements in a session in January.
MPs on the Committee will probe:
Whether Royal Mail is using any kind of tracking technology to check delivery rates and consequently discipline employees not doing so fast enough;
Claims that the firm is compromising its statutory commitments to deliver mail to all addresses six days a week under the universal service obligation by prioritising parcels;
The details of Royal Mail’s sick pay policy.
Witnesses
Wednesday 22 February in Grimond Room
From 14.15
Simon Thomson, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Mail;
Keith Williams, Chair, Royal Mail; and
Ricky McAulay, Operations Development Director, Royal Mail.

Hopefully he is on statutory sick pay
.
The select committee won't fall for that it's obvious that the powers that be have told him to do this so the others can try to lie more convincingly!

Re: Reminder: Questioning of Royal Mail bosses
If Mr Thompson continues to lie and mislead parliament, what could happen to him ?
Could they take him down to the cells or will he be a free man ?
