In recent weeks, post disruptions have plagued people in Oxford and across the county, with some waiting more than two weeks for post to be delivered.
People who live in Blackbird Leys, Wantage and Headington have all reported issues with their postal service.
A number of residents in the effected areas have claimed to be missing important parcels, letters, birthday cards and bills, as they say they have not seen their postie for weeks at a time.
As Christmas is on the horizon the busiest time for the postal service is fast approaching.
If you are concerned whether you will get your Christmas post in time, this is what Royal Mail have to say.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “In some areas in Oxford, we are experiencing some disruption to service due to resourcing issues which we are addressing as quickly as possible.
“We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week. If resourcing issues and safety measures prevent this, we’ll deliver at least every other day.
“We apologise to customers for any inconvenience they may experience as we work hard to resolve the situation.”
Royal Mail is encouraging customers to order their online gifts and shopping well in advance, and to post their festive greetings early, to help its postmen and women deliver the bumper festive mailbag. Its latest recommended posting dates for mail to arrive in time for Christmas are:

Oxford post delays: will you post arrive for Christmas?

In recent weeks, people across Oxford and the wider county have had issues with their post where they have faced long delays for packages and letters.
People living in Blackbird Leys, Wantage and Headington have all been effected and those living in these areas have been left ‘furious’.
Some people have faced long waits for new debit cards, bills, birthday cards and packages from sites such as Ebay.
When people have tried to reach out to delivery offices in their local area or the national Royal Mail customer helpline they have found it ‘impossible’.
One anonymous Wantage resident, however, has expressed sympathy for postal workers.
They said: “Royal Mail as a company is at fault for staff shortages. But it is always the postal workers who get the stick for it.
“They are over worked and underpaid and understaffed and doing the best they can. Considering the mass amount of people now order online. And they are prioritising packages which is wrong as people are suffering late fees for bills because they are not receiving there post.”
The issues with Royal Mail are not the first of their kind, with residents in East Oxford missing their post for weeks at a time back in January.
Royal Mail has apologised for the delays and explained it has been experiencing ‘resourcing issues’, but it is still aiming to deliver ‘at least every other day’.
