Royal Mail postal delays in Kidderminster and Bewdley

ROYAL Mail has apologised to customers in Kidderminster and Bewdley experiencing disruptions to deliveries in light of resourcing issues and staff sickness.

Earlier this week, people took to social media to share concerns, with one Dog Lane resident claiming they hadn't received any post since October 22,

The Facebook user, who was expecting an important letter, said: "Friends in Bewdley other than Dog Lane have had post delivered. I do hope that our regular post team are well as we are concerned for them.


"I have been told that there are problems at Kidderminster delivery office and customer services could not tell me when we might get a delivery."

Another said: "No post for over a week now. Waiting for something important."

Royal Mail has now said they are working hard to resolve the issue.

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “In some areas in Kidderminster and Bewdley, we are experiencing some disruption to service due to resourcing issues and sickness absence which we are addressing as quickly as possible.



"We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week.

"If resourcing issues, associated self-isolation and safety measures prevent this, we’ll deliver at least every other day. We apologise to customers for any inconvenience they may experience as we work hard to resolve the situation.”
