ROYAL Mail says staff shortages are to blame for a lack of post deliveries in some areas of Northwich.
Residents in Kingsmead reported not having any post delivered for two weeks.
The disruption is caused by a lack of staff and Royal Mail is hoping to deliver to residents at least every other day if problems persist.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "We are currently experiencing some staff shortages in the Northwich area which may cause some disruption to our service.
"We are in the process of recruiting new members of staff and are looking to restore our normal high service levels as quickly as possible.
"We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for six days a week.
"If resourcing issues prevent this, we’ll deliver at least every other day.
"Every item of mail is important to Royal Mail.
"We apologise to customers for any inconvenience they may experience as the situation improves."

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

They probably moved on to other jobs as there are shortages evrerywhere.

It isn’t down to staff shortage. As Northwich has just recruited a number of new staff. It’s down to the ridiculous new rushed in revision to please the shareholders. That particular round did not get delivered for at least 8 days, tracked and special items did however. Many other rounds are not being delivered ‘at least every other day’. Management are only really interested in the tracked and special items. The workloads are becoming unworkable and the staff are very worn out and under pressure.
