POLICE turned up at the door of an individual who ordered an illegal item online, instead of the postal service.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Operation Jemlock Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling serious violence and knife crime - posted on Twitter yesterday about the bizarre situation.
The post was shared alongside a picture of what looks to be a bladed item.
It seems a person in Bradford had ordered the item to their address, but it turned out it was "illegal" to own, according to West Yorkshire Police.
The team went to the property instead.
The Twitter post said: "It’s not always who you think might deliver what you order from the internet.
"Jemlock do deliveries, and the recipient of this in Bradford wasn’t expecting our visit.
"Just because you can order it on the internet doesn’t mean it’s legal to own."
