THE Royal Mail has admitted a first class cock-up . . . placing the famous Needles on the Isle of WHITE!
Thousands of St George’s Day collectors’ edition stamps must now be replaced with ones correctly labelled Isle of WIGHT.
A Royal Mail insider said: “There was a blind panic when one of our postmasters spotted the blunder.
“No one is saying what this has cost, but a schoolboy error like that would look dreadful.â€
