It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Call me a cynic but I reckon we made a healthy profit last year but Laurel & Hardy can't publish them whilst they are claiming they can't give us a wage rise that is equal to the rate of inflation :lfo :cfo

The irony being that if we had already been privatised, the Stock Exchange have rules about prompt publication of financial results to strict timescales, with the threat of trading in the company's shares being suspended as a sanction for not playing by the rules

the results are being delayed until the pay deal is setlled.,and the managers bonus was £1100 fact. Now can anyone answer this. We don't get a bonus because we have failed to make the targets. So what targets did the managers hit. I can only assume it's for drinking the most cups of coffee in the shortest time. Stand fast brothers :so there :so there

No i think you will find that managers bonuses are based on savings made in their office, or in other words, off our f***ing backs...UNITY IS STRENGTH.

Perhaps we should all email big Al and ask him? Several hundred emails asking the same thing should get someones attention espcially as he says he listens to us :funneh

I believe everything my manager tells me. I also believe in fairies, that pigs have wings and that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Now I'm really pissed off
My bags are getting heavier, but my wages will probably drop! :lfo :cfo
Then i read above, too see that the lazy managers are too get a huge bonus!
This is the sort of thing that the union should make public.
So why not????????
This sort of info would give us a huge public support on Friday, and even stop
some of the strike breakers from going in!
Come on UCW. We give you enough money every week.

re: Have you ever not got your bonuses?

Post by F0zziebear »

Bonuses in RM are a waste of time. Postmen are guaranteed their bonuses, which makes a mockery of them in the first place. Managers get bonuses, but normally about 80% due to there being a balance between financial performance and quality targets being met. Both the CWUY & CMA ensure that these bonuses are essentially garanteed.

Managers bonuses are about 5% of their salary. What is your bonus as a percentage?

The accounts normally come out at the end of June, but as most of the staff are delivering mail one assumes they might be delayed!
