Thompson was a very divisive Royal Mail boss. He has basically brought the company to its knees with his hard headed, uncompromising and antagonistic form of leadership. This is a blessing in disguise for all postal workers.

May we get an honest, decent and compassionate person in his place, to build the company back
up again to its former greatness and prosperity, be understanding and encouraging to the workforce, and foster cordial and harmonious working relations with the CWU.

Forget that UK PLC is all about employing asset strippers/load companies with debt to pay for dividends.

And if you don’t like the terms of your employment the government have 700,000 net migration last year to take your place.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hopefully the rest of the board follow suit, as theyre as guilty as Thommo. Disgraceful he leaves with a bulging wallet for his failures, maybe we can get a board who care about the service 1st and the shareholder 2nd. Not holding my breath tbh - could Wardy & Furious jump ship and lead us into calmer waters ?
