BBC News 24 had a reporter saying strikes will be announced after 1400 meeting. Though we knew that :)

But he said Rolling strikes, like sorting offices then deliveries...

So each unit only has a loss of 1 days pay.

I'm sure we'll know soon enough and the forums will be awash with text :)

GOOD TIMING IF YOU ASK ME. A HEAVY MAIL DAY, WITH THE SHORTER WORKING DAY FOLLOWING. REMEMBER ON THE SATURDAY, ONLY WORK TO YOUR TIME. COS IF YOU WORK OVER TO CLEAR THE BACKLOG THEN YOU'RE DEFEATING THE OBJRCT. DON'T LET ANY MANAGER PRESSURE YOU INTO WORKING PAST 10.30 (DELIVERY).
IF A MANAGER THREATENS TO CHANGE YOUR CONTRACT, REMIND THEM IT IS A LEGAL DISPUTE AND THEY CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING.

i've tried to make this point at work at every turn leighton and his puppet's are quick to be on the news telling the public how hard done to we are, but then the union who i think should get up and start doing the same to put are point accross just seem happy to call the strike, then you get sky news saying " unless they bow to our demands" which gets the public even more wound up.

come on get some publicity out there giving our side of the story and thell the public it's not just about pay

guess doing it for one day is because 2 days without pay is going to hurt bigtime, makes sense to me hurt RM as much as poss while at same time trying to
not hurt our pockets too much

1 day at first, due to law requirements for announcing a date.

Next set most likely random dates and overarching different units to make sure effect is greater.

The problem is, loads of us are on a 8 hour day on Saturdays. I won't be rushing on sorting, prepping or walking. Fast workers die young, and I'm hoping to live forever. I'm doing alright so far!
