It's a matter of mutual respect - we should be looking after each other. I never leave anything for a day off cover to do, and leave reserves get the same clean start and a walk guide to help them if they haven't done it before - because I take the trouble for them - I can't remember the last time I got s**t on. ( Hang on a minute - the board of directors do it all the time lol)

I agree rhino49 it is a matter of mutual respect, but if you do all of the above and still get shat on it, which is very often in our office it can become disheartening.

Several teachers pets in my office (if the manager suddenly stopped they would need a dentist to get them out) always leaving dead mail not taking mail/packets out always get away with it.

It's nice to see mid-Cheshire so-called managers are every bit as incompetent at their accomplices in north Cheshire. What a shower eh?

UPDATE ON THE STORY

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

Postman sacked over junk mail row

A Nottinghamshire postman who refused to deliver junk mail has been sacked.

Royal Mail had suspended Steve Rowbotham pending an investigation "relating to the wilful delay of mail".

Residents of Burton Joyce had called for their postman to be reinstated and wrote to his bosses demanding that he be cleared.

But Royal Mail confirmed in a statement on Friday that Mr Rowbotham had been dismissed. A spokesman said he had the right to appeal.

The statement added that the Royal Mail did not comment on the detail of individual personnel cases.

every frame should be checked every day by the manager as part of the clear frame policy, plus we should all in theory get frame checks before we leave so how the hell was this allowed to even start to pile up in the first place

There are two bundles of dead letters on top of my frame from my last two days off. They can grow bloody mould before I'll deal with them. The fact is, Royal Mail managers are glorified office boys. Very few of them are capable of anything more than putting mail out before sorting and in our office even that is beyond most of them.

Went back to work today after my 2 weeks off and guess what....... 4 lots of d2d left in the frame for about 70% of my delivery, no redirections done on sat and half of my redirections left with no stickers. took all of the d2d out ( could have done with the money, but sod it) and told my lino that i would not be doing them, got the same usual blank expression back.......

Oh and the teachers pet who was on my delivery had filled out the claim form for all the d2d's. Was very tempted to hand it in for him as he has gone sick.. Did'nt though..........

That is naughty - I would have been tempted to give the lineo the form along with the undone D2Ds but in this climate better not.

I was on another duty last week and no d2ds got done but no-one claimed - lets see how long the unopened boxes stay under my frame.

It is always amazing how the screws manage to put the 'glass eye' in when checking the frames of the 'start early, use my car, run round' people isn't it, if it's done at all only three and a half or more b****y hours time to kill while we are all out. :arrrghhh
