Royal Mail collection drivers collect the Parcelforce items and Parcelforce drivers are delivering Royal Mail items.
Once we merge properly then I would imagine Parcelforce will no longer exist.
Then DPR routes in royal mail will no longer exist , they will just send all parcels to the now Parcelforce depots ,
Parcelforce or whatever it is called in the future (maybe royal mail parcels) is expanding new vans , new drivers .

The 1st phase is to take up to 14 million parcels from royal royal mail into Parcelforce they are not spending all this money on Parcelforce depots for nothing .
The Parcelforce brand may disappear but not the depots and drivers they are investing heavily in the Parcelforce depots .

As somebody said, RM collection drivers now collect PF parcels, PF aren't even dropping off items at post offices for customers, it's now 3 attempts via an app.

They might be 'merged' but the brand name will probably be kept to avoid confusion for customers. They've just taken post offices from them so they can delivers more parcels and do more home/firm collections.

I refuse anything over 20kg (Or what I had yesterday 10 x 15kgs bags of what felt like coal) as of being in my mid 60's anything above that is a struggle for me and the 6 sack barrows we do have in the office are allocated to Firms routes and you cannot use them.

You come across like you are DELIGHTED about us having to deliver 30kg parcels. You wouldn't last TWO MINUTES in a DO pal.
How would you know? Depending on their specific role, presumably some people in MCs probably spend the whole shift lugging about these massive “non-conveyable” boxes, some weighing as much as 30kg.
From my own experience, as this little lady is usually the poor sod who delivers them(!), I can tell you that we definitely do deliver up to 30kg. An extreme example — I took out ten 25kg bags of soil/compost to one address a couple of Sundays back as the walk postie on the Saturday refused to deliver them. Had a similar scenario with gravel/stone bags a couple of months back too.

I wouldn’t either - H&S issue - I remember years ago 16kg was the maximum weight for pouches
