Back pay

Post by Tiktactoe »

Hi, just wondering if anyone could help. I’m due to leave Royal Mail on 19th of September and the back payment which is due to paid on the 26th would I be entitled to the back payment? As I’m still an employee when yes vote had gone through and agreed.
Thanks

Unless I can change my leaving date to the 22nd has that would be my day off on my schedule rotation.

Tell your managers to stick their paltry back pay up their arses and then tell them you are taking the next 7 days off sick, as you waltz out the door on the 12th of September. :thumbup :chuckle

Make sure you screenshot your leave balance before you go they often try to avoid paying for pro rata leave owed.

Royal Mail/CWU always put in a clause that you have to be in a contract of employment at the time the payment is to be made

They don't. Last backdated pay award was also paid out in September but was paid to everyone who was in employment at a date in June, presumably when agreement was reached.
