Additional workload to indoor duty Saturday only

Post by vinny79 »

A query if I may

I have a 3hr locker duty 1-4 on Saturdays plus work in the week. Total of 32 hours

Anyhow my manager has said I need to be doing 90 minutes of delivery work now on top of my duty

I have held this for a number of years

Without any consultation with the cue or without reviewing the morning indoor operation (8 hours) which in my opinion has ample time for additional workload

They stated it was a reasonable request and I would be doing it I don’t get to refuse

Can anyone offer any advice?

I have no problems performing my duties as required but this to me seems a little unfair?

Surely there has to be a proper review not just do as I say ?

Thank you

I normally do a whole delivery Monday to Friday as overtime if required then my shift

I am merely asking from a union perspective on the correct way to deem a duty requires more work

Not just as do as I say attitude

I have no issues working full stop it just appears that because I graft I am being took the piss out of where others are not asked to “work” as my gaffer puts it.

We are all paid the same
