Being sent to a different DO

What are my rights, if any, when asked to work at a different office for my contracted hours? Do I come to my DO first, scan in, and then make my own way to the other DO and come back to scan out, with the travel time from/to counting towards my hours? Is RM obliged to provide/reimburse transport? Or make my own way straight to the other DO, which is about 30-45 minutes further than my own? Can I refuse to go?

I'm on the new contract for 30 hours over 5 days, and when required to work on Sundays it's at a larger DO 15 minutes away.

It depends on your contract.
If you are an area reserve then you can be asked to work wherever.
If your contract states you work at a specific DO then your travelling time is included in your contracted hours and travel is their concern.
They give you a lift (there and back) they give you a van or they reimburse you.

Can you refuse? No.
But it seems if you are awkward enough they won't ask you again.

Have a look at your contract. Many have a mobility clause in them stating that you maybe required to work at locations other than the one you normally attend. If you are instructed to attend another location you will require the notice stated in your contract. If the instruction adheres to your contract then refusing to carry out the instruction will be unreasonable.

If you use your own vehicle you will need to check your insurance policy to see if you are insured to travel to the other location. Many insurance policies state that they only cover travel to your normal workplace.

The arrangements for payment are a matter of what your contract says. It's probable that there will be no reimbursement for travelling to another location because of the mobility clause. This will also apply to your working time which in all probability will start and finish at the other location.

It is worth asking anyone on the same contract at your normal workplace what they are facilitated when they are sent to another workplace.

You've answered the question for yourself. Just check the notice for a change of shift which will probably be 24 hours.

I've noticed on some of the current job adverts it says something like your place of work is office A but you'll be required to work x amount of Sundays at office B, if that applies in this instance.

They need to give you a van as your not insured to use your own vehicle be as awkward as you can and they will move on to the next new starter. Management seem to see what they can get away with new starters I've had it all stand your ground or they will walk all over you.
