sick days over charge

Post by Ianroyalmail »

I have potentially had two days of sick this week.

With me saying tomorrow I might not come in.

They've already taken £160 off for my days off my weekly wage.

I get not being paid for your first two work days. But they're charging me a days work, for a day I'm not meant to be working, my day off!

It doesn't make any sense. How can they charge me for a day, where I earn nothing?

Now if I work the rest of the week, I'll lose an extra days work, even though I would have worked only one day less technically, for the week.

How can they charge me £80 for not working on my my day off?

Also I could technically I could ring up and say I'm not sick tomorrow, but they've already charged me for not working tomorrow?

I heard that they charge you sick days for days off, even if you're sick in your day off, which is very questionable, because why would your day off count as a sick day? You're not working that day, why would that count as a sick day from work?

But also charging you money for not working on a day off is madness.

If u don’t resume and tell them acccordingly then they must presume you’re sick and follow the sickness guidelines this has always been the case same as sick on holiday u can claim it back works both ways
