Quite a few people in our delivery office have pulled out of the union with more on the way its a sad demise of a once strong cwu we got to take whatever they throw at us now no strength or unity anymore sadly

I sent an email asking how to cancel my membership, with just my name and obviously email address and they replied saying my membership had been cancelled, as easy as that.

Can be done easily in the people app, by scrolling to bottom and ask a question. Takes seconds.

I cancelled mine on the app , I’m wondering if I could get a solicitor to do the CWU for miss selling me a membership

I stopped my subs after that numpty held up a ‘Vote Yes’ at the parliamentary committee. My thoughts were, is this the type of person I want to represent me in my workplace. That person is still in his position which personally shows me the type of people running the CWU. Since that day I’ve quietly quit, do my hours, don’t get involved in any discussions, do the bare minimum and have never been happier at RM.
If I end up 9-5 I really don’t think it’ll be as bad as other crappy jobs out there.
The biggest problem with RM is posties have cared to much about the job ( I include myself)
Times have changed, the public couldn't care less about their postie ( vast majority) The CWU are finished in the workplace, none of our new contract posties are interested in joining the union and in another year or so they will outnumber the old contract posties in our unit.

Spot on that and when you look at the union leadership like Martin I’ll do what RM want Walsh you know you’re just pissing £4 a week down the drain

I equated it to my internet provider, I lost my landline phone, they wouldn't fix it, my internet kept dropping in and out, they still wouldn't fix it, then it all went kapoot . So I cancelled.

You don't pay for a service you do not receive.

The number of times the area rep was in to fix simple things and didn't or wouldn't. "Let it fail, see what they do then."

And here we are.
