Hi guys I would like a bit of advice here.
I have been given the offer and accepted to leave via VR in a few months. I am currently off sick for a long while so I'm on half pay and taking medication.
My situation is that I have a sick note until let's say for example 1st Feb and my last employment date is 1st March. I happen to have exactly one month of leave left so I asked to book this from 02/02 - 28/02. This will therefore, give me one month of full pay and then also 'cover' my employment dates until I leave the company. I have no intention of returning to the office as that is the cause of my illness and the main reason why I took the VR.
I was under the impression that I was able to book leave whilst on sick but my manager has said, in order to book this leave, I need to 'return to work' and if this is my intention. She knows my last employment date and sickness so I'm not sure if this is simply just an admin thing i.e stop sick leave and then book annual leave.
However, I'm not fully recovered or fit to work so I'm not sure how should I respond and worried by saying 'I'm fit' may create some other issue. Am I entitled to book this leave whilst sick under our employee rights? What policy should I be referring to if this is the case?
Thank you for your help.

Sorry I'm not knowledgeable to actually answer your question although imo I think your manager could accommodate it, why be intentionally awkward when they know you're leaving is beyond me they really are horrible people.
Anyway wouldn't it be better for you to get another sick note for your final month, I know when people have left on ihr they've been paid owed leave in their final wage so presumably you'd get that.
Oh yeah I think it's down to your manager to inform HR what holiday you're owed so maybe screenshot your leave on the people app in case they decide to mess you about with that.
Good luck.

Thanks for the replies.
I am leaving on voluntary redundancy and not IHR. In the terms of the agreement I think I have to take holiday before my termination date.
I have no issue saying 'I'm fit to return' if it's simply for admin purposes and it makes no change to my situation, which is to leave on my date without needing to return to the office. I'm just unsure if that may create other issues.
