So are parcels still prioritised over letters?

Post by mattick »

Without rewatching the whole parliamentary debate chaired by the MP Darren Jones. If memory serves with me correctly Simon Thompson and the rest of RM board all admitted that parcels and letters had equal priority.

So this week my COM decides to take my parter away and move them to cover another duty. I’m asked by the COM today to leave all the mail on both walks and deliver just the tracked. Refusing to this, I’m threatened with suspension if I don’t.

You might not be happy about them prioritising parcels over letters but refusing a reasonable request from your manager could lead to bigger problems.
Work to your time and as instructed and let people paid a lot more money than us sort things like this out.
When they try to get you to clear two days mail on monday just work to your time and if its not clear thats their problem, it swings both ways.

Yeah maybe, just this company doesn't have a very bright future ahead of it from what I'm seeing

Yes!!! Parcels, tracked, specials are most DEFINITELY prioritised over letters. Have been since 23/3/2020.

Yes, they are.

Just do whatever is asked of you. The Royal Mail we once knew is now gone, completely.

The CWU are just a busted flush now. There is nothing to stand in the way of Royal Mail's deplorable mis-management of a simple thing like the delivery of all mail and packets.
Nothing.

Since the yes vote been taking very little mail and prioritising tracked, sometimes i wonder if the union ,royal mail and the government are all in this together it just seems a little strange nothing is being done and are allowed to get away with it,on the plus side im not feeling as tired as i use to be :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

I've thought that for a while but you just get called conspiracy nut because it goes against peoples ingrained realities yet it is completely possible they are corrupt.

Everyone knows the government is corrupt. if you look at RMs ownership and recent history then you'd say probably corrupt. Then look at CWUs so called deal and the way they shifted so quickly in their stance, probably corrupt too.
