I went from FT to PT 22 hrs over 3 days. Classed as FT on the day for the purpose of seasonal hours and IPS etc.
Asked my manager first and told you put it in writing with a date.2 weeks later it was all sorted. At the moment I'm job sharing.
Wow goes to show there are some decent managers, out of interest for any of the people considering it does your new contract differ in that it states it's a 3 day attendance as you know you can't always trust RM to keep to things they've agreed, a while ago we had a couple of 4 day 30 hr duties but they forced them to change to regular 5 days.
In a word no. It's a variation of contract which I've had before that basically says your hours are XX and not much more then that really!
You are never going to get them to state it's a 3 day week in a contract. But that being said.....if I go in to the people app my days off are correct and so are they in PSP.
Also I don't know how it stands legally but if you were doing a 3 day week for a reasonable amount of time you could argue that that certainly there is understanding that you are on an implied 3 day week. In my original request I said the 3 days must be contractual, I knew it wouldn't likely be included contractually but wanted it on black and white anyway.
