I believe you can take your pension from age 55 but you'll lose a lot cos you're taking it so early. I was nearing retirement so didn't affect me.

Hi I been off now for nearly 3 years now amd had 15 OH appointment with optima but now having 1 with health partners on Thursday 15/02/24. I have heard so many bad things about them. Can Any one give me there views on them ( health partners) and its saying a 90 minute appointment is thar correct ?

Hi I had 3 appointments with health partners and they eeee horrible, I wa off for 15 months with back problems and leg problems she said because you can’t bend , pick up heavy items or walk I am going to recommend you put letters into the framework. I told her that makes it worse and she said I’m going to recommend it anyway so I said you can if you want but I won’t be doing it. We argued for 10 minutes and I told her that you are going about the assessment all wrong, I put the phone down on her.She never put any of that in my report , only that it depends on how my surgery goes to whether I could return to my postmen duties or not. Had a meeting with my manager after he said I won’t get IHR, then a few weeks later I had a referral for IHR, the doctor who done the referral was really nice though .

Well I have mine tomorrow and my partner is a nurse and she will be on the call also. Had 15 optima health appointment and they all said I can not do anything or any jobs in Any part of the business. Let's see what health partners comes up with. I also can't sit in one place for 10 minutes or longer at a time due to pain

Hi can anyone tell me when they received there IHR did they get there full annual leave afterward.One of my line managers put through 20 hours annual leave to the leavers team .I never requested any annual leave due ti being on sick so he put it through without asking me .HR told me he shouldn’t of done that as it’s against Royal Mail policy.He will be back in work on Monday so I can confront him about it I was just wondering if anyone else had the same thing and what rubbish.I wa in sick leave for 14 months.

This is from approx 8 years ago so maybe not the case currently but I know for definite that a good mate of mine who was coincidentally off for about the same amount of time as you got their 6 weeks worth for the full leave year plus a week or so untaken from the previous leave year so approx 7 weeks in total (taxed/NI of course)

you should keep an eye out on your tax for it because it be like mine which was emergency taxed.

RM have been crafty with that bit.

you should be due a tax refund for it later this year normally around November/December :)

Hi guys just keep an eye on your annual leave,my line managers paid it to me without discussing it with me ,I have told them it’s against the law and Royal Mail policies to do that without me requesting it. I am taking them to a tribunal as all they gave me was 48 hours for 14 months on sick leave.HR told me I had 3 weeks annual leave paiid which I told them I never requested and I didn’t even know I was annual Leave as my line managers gave me my leave card in January 2024.I’m waiting for back surgery and in lots of back and leg pain I’m in no fit state to enjoy a holiday and I was still getting sick pay at the time.

Hello all,
I've just been recommended for IHR subject to myself agreeing to it.

I've been told that I have to agree to IHR before I find out how much payment I will receive, and that there is no going back whether I like the payment figure amount or not.

I don't think this is correct.

Any opinions would be most welcome.

That's not correct. You don't have to finally commit until they give you a final figure
