Yes you can,if your in the union they can do this for you ,fill out the form if your not you can make a personal claim,i have known guys go through the union where the offending dog owners didn't have house insurance but were taken to court and made to pay compensation so it doesn't matter if they have house insurance or not,my friend got £1800 which was paid in monthly instalments. It is now a criminal offence not civil ,at the end of the day its an injury at work and some one needs to pay.

The amount you can get via the union is capped at a low amount so suing the dog owner through either their home insurance or small claims is the way to go.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

That's assuming you can find a solicitor to take on the case, now that they are aware the dog owner claims they don't have home insurance, as they may be reluctant to take it on if they feel there's a less than 51% chance of making a successful recovery.

The union with such matters are a waste of space as they have gone bargain basement with a panel of "Where there is blame, there is a claim, ambulance chasers.

Previously, such claims were handled by the unions dedicated injury solicitors Simpson and Miller who were outstanding.

With any claim for personal injury best bet is go down into the high street and enquire in a real solicitors practice, not virtual.
