Does management have a duty to make sure rounds are even

never happens in our office ,on the last revision the bosses boys had nothing added to their already achievable rounds while some of us had 40 minutes added to our already unachievable rounds while the union sat back and did nothing,the cwu will not help they are in cahoots with the devil.

sounds like my office.... but not sure it was done to help out those posties.... I feel it was done either because the computer system used to put the rounds together failed, the management themselves unknowingly messed it up, or they did it on purpose so they could at least have some rounds completing....

but going in everyday seeing someone on a round that's 40 minutes shorter than yours, that can easily complete, is demoralising....and this will continue, possibly for years.... the thought of that annoys me so much I want to leave.

It has ground me down and had me close to a breakdown at times with little help from our union,i went to see someone and am now in a better place,i go in and leave 6 loops everyday ,even on the quieter days i still leave the same,i ignore the boss pretty much most days dont talk to him and when he starts with the morning bullshit i just smile ,walk away and let him stamp his feet while i laugh inside ,what will be will be i wont let this lot ever get to me again they are the lowest form of life ,me i've found my happy place and dont give a f--k anymore.

I don't even care too much about unachievable workloads as that was put in by idiots higher up....

but our own managers within our office claiming rounds are completable when they are clearly not + rounds being so uneven a blind man could even work it out....is the most frustrating thing....

That's the part that really f****d me off on the run up to Christmas even more than normal, as soon as some got a sniff they were getting help they absolutely took the piss, as did the hct duties which is standard practice for them, what they actually delivered was probably on par with an average day in summer, meanwhile most of us got told sorry no help just leave mail if you can't cope.

Oh yeah thank f**k that bonus was based on the whole office as that would have been the final insult if the duties that got help and cleared got it whilst the rest didn't.

Is the data on Route Planner even remotely up to date? Whoever builds the rounds probably partly basis it on that data. Also if that data is wrong then the sequenced mail will be wrong as the sort plans for the machines are written based on the same data.

If it was a "table top" revision then if our place is typical then no data is used whatsoever, it's decided by whatever the resident office brown noser/s agrees with the manager.

Funny that, in our office the wpc who also sorted out the duties and had nothing added to his and his mates duty. Apparently these duties were big enough already, my duty is the biggest in the office with a new development which adds roughly 1-2 houses per week and shows no signs of being dealt with and they seem to think this will carry on forever.
I am nobodys fool and with at least another 200 houses to come somebody will deal with it soon or i can feel a grievance coming.
