Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
big ron, can u get IHR without being asked for ur medical notes? , i think medical notes are private and confidential a lot dont like giving them out so was wondering if the OH mob would just go with what u tell them ? did they ask u for ur doctors medical notes?

Yes you don't have to get medical notes from your gp personally.but occupational health will contact your doctor .that was my experience and it concluded quite quickly.

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
yeah from what im hearing if u dont give ur medical records, they can see that as a breach of contract and just sack someone thats what they do in teachers union, i heard a story of a janitor not giving medical records consent, so they just sacked him, thats why they dont give out money without exploring if people are telling the truth from their doctor

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
I signed well after my leaving date as it came in the post. Guess what, it was very late. Post was very hit and miss in my area.
Annual Leave was paid at the same time.

My leaving date was 25.11.23 and I signed paperwork the day before. Leave due was paid following week. Managers were very helpful. Unfortunately pension a bit of a hassle but it gets sorted out quite quickly. However, I'm trying to look into the £750 that a lot of us are entitled to, to use towards financial advice (made under the 4 Pilkars Agreement). Can't get a hold of HR on telephone.Terrance wrote: ↑07 Feb 2024, 15:15Hi guys my DOM said my leaving date is Saturday 10/2/24 I haven’t been called into the office yet to sign my paperwork and my DOMs don’t usually work Saturdays, so for the people who received IHR did you sign your paperwork before your leaving date or on your leaving date?and did you get your annual the same time or after t your other payments?

I believe you can take your pension from age 55 but you'll lose a lot cos you're taking it so early. I was nearing retirement so didn't affect me.
