Post by 1969tonka »

Due to the olympics i have agreed to move depots for a period of 10 weeks with the new depot being 20 miles further away . can anyone please tell me the allowance rate is per mile for a private car (our union rep is on holiday and the management are clueless !)

many thanks, one last question , how far in advance do they usually pay out or is it just down to the agreement between management and the union rep ?

Don't know about advance payments
In my experience you fill the forms in each week after the travelling involved, then you get a separate paynote week after with tax free payment for mileage done.
Not totally sure but think you have upto 6 weeks to submit your claim.
So you can build few weeks up rather than claim each week.
