I am looking at possible other options for jobs.
If I want to become a HGV ie lorry driver. Will Royal Mail pay for training for me to become a HGV driver
Can you tell me what it is like to be a HGV drivers and what the jobs involves and what kind of hours do you work ? Do you recommended it or not.

Would be expensive to pay for yourself and don't know if any money is available from the Gov't!

royal mail would pay for your training IF they were short of hgv drivers unfortunately they aren't so you would have no chance at the minute.
i looked into putting myself through last year and it would have cost me £1500 for a class 2 and another £1500 for class 1 so it is pricey.
who the hell invests £2 billion into a servic and makes it worse?????????????

Personally I wouldn't bother, you only gain an extra £50 I think, can make that in overtime and no training cost, I spoke to RM HGV drivers he said they make you work for your money, stay on 600s instead I was told.
